Gmail’s “Manage Subscriptions” feature is very useful. It helps you clean up your inbox and makes it easier to access important emails.

Finding important emails in Gmail can be hard because offers, newsletters, and promotional messages often mix with them. This can be frustrating for users. To solve this, Gmail introduced the Mail Subscription feature in July, which can be a real game-changer.

With this feature, you can easily unsubscribe from any brand or website’s emails directly from the Gmail app. You don’t need to visit any website or go into settings. The best part is that your inbox will stay clean, and you’ll only get the emails that really matter to you. Let’s see what this feature is and how it works.

You’ll be able to unsubscribe with just one tap

The “Manage Subscriptions” feature in Gmail is easy to find right in the mobile app. It helps you get rid of unwanted emails and also frees up storage space by removing newsletters, offers, blogs, and brand updates you don’t need. With this feature, you can manage all your subscription emails in one place. You can delete all emails from a specific brand and even cancel a subscription with just one tap.

After opening the app, you’ll find this section here

You don’t need to go into Gmail settings to use the “Manage Subscriptions” feature. You also don’t have to open each email one by one. Just open the Gmail mobile app, and you’ll see three lines on the left side tap on them. You’ll see several options, and near the bottom, you’ll find the “Manage Subscriptions” section.

  • Earlier, to unsubscribe, you had to open the brand’s website or the newsletter email.
  • At the top of the email or next to the sender’s name, you’ll see options like “Subscribe” or “Unsubscribe."
  • If you still want to get updates from that sender, tap “Subscribe."
  • If you don’t want their emails anymore, just tap “Unsubscribe."

With the new feature, it’ll be done in just one tap

  1. With the new feature, you just need to click on the “Manage Subscriptions” option.
  2. Here, you’ll see a list of all your active subscriptions.
  3. Next to each one, you’ll find an email-like icon.
  4. Tap on that icon, and the “Unsubscribe” option will appear.
  5. Click “Unsubscribe” to stop getting emails from that sender.

Delete unwanted emails all at once

If you want to delete emails from a specific brand, type its name in the search bar. For example, type Amazon. All emails from Amazon will appear, and you can select and delete them directly from there.

You can use the filter option

You can also search emails by label, date, or email ID. This feature is very helpful for cleaning up your inbox.
